The Far Wall

The front half of the dojo far wall contains three objects.  The two scrolls, purchased in Kamakura, Japan, by Shihan Baker, depict an eagle and a tiger (left scroll) and a dragon and a tiger (right scroll).  The center object is a framed kanji linen above photos from a seminar.  The kanji depicted here is the character "Do" or "The Way" - as in karate-do or the way of the empty hand.  Karate is, after all, a way of life for those who practice it.
