The Great Buddha Scroll
This corner of the dojo contains a scroll from Kamakura, Japan. This scroll was a gift to Sensei Baker from Shidoin R. Sweet, who was Senior Student in the St. Lawrence University Samurai program in Canton, NY. The scroll depicts the Great Buddha at Kamakura, the Imperial Palace, Mt. Fuji, and the cherry blossoms which are frequently the subject of Japanese painting and poetry.
